Savannah College of Art and Design host Print Week at our gallery! [more]
Every day there are thousands of memories that we experience. Everything we do leads to another. Everything we do affects us as well as everyone you interact with and who they interact with. We are left with the inability to control these moments. No matter what you do, something will effect this wave of moments. We want to see these moments captured in a painting or collage. We are going to send you five 3 x 3 canvases. What moment leads you to the next?
We're sending out up to 500 little sacks that we want you to fill with things that you need to get off your chest. We will then be hosting a reception for them at our gallery in Atlanta, Ga where we will put your sacks filled with your old baggage out in the open and let people experience what you have moved on from.
We're sending out 500 sketchbooks. You fill them and send them back. Then we throw a show with all of the books lining tables around our gallery, free for everyone to flip through and view.
We are sending out mini accordion file folders. We want you to take them with you and fill them up with all of your personal objects - including receipts, ticket stubs, lists, Polaroids, or anything else that defines you and your life. Then, we're going to throw a gallery show with all of the accordion folders, free for people to browse through.
Sign up, make 22 prints, send them to us, then receive prints from 20 random people around the country in your mailbox! The theme is "I have never been in any of my neighbor's houses." Take that for what it is. Go with it and have fun!
